IM BAAAAAACK!!

Tue Dec 8, 2009, 10:45 AM
I really fell behind the curve on this page. I had an independent study that required my full attention. Luckily, I will be graduating on December 18th from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. (YES!) I will have a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art then.

On the software front, I have decided to give up on Adobe. I found that they really don't listen to their customers as much as they say they do. Also, their software is too big and clunky. In fact, I am grabbing as much open source software as I can. I will be using GIMP, Blender, and Inkscape to create works of art now. I will also use Zbrush and Groboto to supplement them.

Now that I will be out of college, I hope to be creating more art soon!

Update from CTMAN5ON...

What's up! It's been a long summer for me. I've been working at a call center and helping a guy out with his website. I also bought ZBrush 3.2 for my Mac, which just rocks my ass off! I'm still working on my game project, but I will graduate when it is done in the winter.

For those of you who own Adobe CS3 on a Leopard-based Mac system, DO NOT BUY SNOW LEOPARD YET! Adobe somehow decided that CS3 will not be compatible with Snow Leopard. (Yes, I know it sucks ASS.) Those of us in that situation - myself included - will have to upgrade to CS4 before we can buy Snow Leopard.

Any way, I promise that when I have time I will post more stuff. This will include more Adobe CS5 stuff. There is also a website where you can communicate directly with Adobe employees. It is called Get Satisfaction.com. Using this site ([link]), you can post new ideas, praise, complaints, and questions about several popular products. Adobe monitors and participates in their posts, and I have left a plethora of them about new ideas for CS5 if you wish to check it out. I have also put out new ideas directly on Adobe's website, and I am even working on my second letter to John Loiacano (pronouced Lo-ya-ka-no), the director in charge of the Creative Suite line.

Until my next post, c-ya and have a good day!

Update from CTMAN5ON...

Tue May 5, 2009, 8:30 AM
Sorry I haven't posted stuff in awhile. I am currently busy with a part-time job and a college game design project. As for the website I told you guys about, I am closing that account soon. Don't ever use WORDPRESS if you cannot help it. It is a clunky and overrated excuse for a web host. It even crashed my web browser several times. Otherwise, I am also expanding my work to a new site called Artician.com. It's only in beta, but it can easily rival Deviant Art. Take a look by going to [link]

New website from CTMAN5ON...

Mon Mar 2, 2009, 11:15 AM
I now have a website where I will post all of my artwork (as well as my uncensored opinions) at [link] It will also include the artwork that has been removed due to copyright limitations on Deviantart. I made it last week, and I would like it to grow big. Feel free to stop by and check it out.

Seconds thoughts from last journal...

Mon Feb 16, 2009, 12:34 PM
I understand now that Deviant Art has its benefits and its stupidities. I totally wish they cleared up the copyright thing to include mods of original material. The people on this site really need to work this out. Also, It really is a shame that I had to get all of those violations at once instead of when I posted this stuff.

However, I really should not bash this site altogether. It really contains some of the best art that is not in a museum. Therefore, I will continue my Deviantart account despite my gripes with the policies. After all, it is just one piece of a mostly cool site.
